Umm... being here is fabulous, i've never lived in the country before not even back in England. To be here in the countryside and in the middle of Japan, it's like I'm in heaven...  The only downside is the intensive heat. I like summers but not blazing sunlight! My poor skin!

Being here is fucking great!!
But you know? There are things I'm missing...
 
I miss my powerful MacPro with it's triple 30" displays,
having the real estate to do stuff is such a luxury and no laptop can possibly replace it.
I miss using a mouse; I learnt it doesn't matter how good a trackpad design is, it'll never replace the user-friendliness of a cheap mouse! It just feels more responsive and more natural.

I miss my audio system and miss learning Protools.

 

Well.. My arm has started to hurt Think I've been burnt

For me, sitting in the sun is a new experience as in the past i'd avoided the strong sunlight, especially in the daytime during the mid-summer. However, the other day we was sooo damn piggin' bored we had to do something, anything...

Well folks i'm back in Japan.. and it's fooking raining!
Gwad, ain't it depressing when you leave one country for another and the weather there is worst than the place you've come from? Apparently It's their rainy season, according to my friends.
Oh.. Well. I know for next June.

Personally I'm not gonna allow a little rain dampen my spirits or vacation.
And I can't recall the last time rain, actually killing somebody. Can you?

The above photo is taken at one of France's airports I can't remember which but I'm not going vis there this time. What your seeing is the airport security section... the part where you're asked to strip, have all your worthy possession x-rayed for dangerous artefacts. I believe, technically photography ain't allowed but with a 400mm zoom lens, high exposure rates and a steady hand; they're not really gonna see, are they? Besides, it's 4:35am in the morning, everyone's still drowsy and I don't speak French.

Last week I purchased a Mbox 2 Pro. For a while I was fairly happy with it.. that was till i tried recording from more then two inputs, it seems the maximum this bit of equipment can manage is two (mic/instruments), great if you wanna record yourself while you do karaoke! Or more likely, play your guitar to music you've created. Anyway, I've decided to dump it, have it returned to the store as it's not quite what I have in mind... so this week, i'm still trying to workout how to return my MBox2 Pro audio interface...

I ain't a noob when it comes to online ordering, there are numerous other companies I've dealt with in the past (such as Apple, Dell, Korg, MicroDirect, Overclockers, SGI) and non of them have taken me for a ride. In fact, they've always dealt with my orders promptly, getting them dispatched and delivered to my door without too much fuss.
